Minority Business Initiative powered by INTERISE

The Delaware Black Chamber of Commerce has partnered with Interise, a national not-for-profit with award-winning small business programs, to offer EnrichDelaware™! Using Interise’s StreetWise ‘MBA’ curriculum, the program provides small business owners with the knowledge, know-how, and networks needed for business growth and expansion. Join a committed group of Delaware-based business owners for interactive class sessions; peer mentoring groups; and the opportunity to learn from local experts in the fields of finance, marketing, and procurement. Complete the program with a customized, three-year strategic growth plan – plus, the confidence and ability to turn those plans into action.

Minority Designated Entities Loan Program

DEBCC has partnered with Del-One to bring this program to small businesses to help create jobs, spur economic development, and revitalize the central business districts to under-resourced members of our community.

The MDE Loan Program is dedicated to small businesses and women or minority entrepreneurs that may not qualified for traditional member business loans.

Requirements and Approval Process:

  • Business must be a member of the DEBCC AND sponsored by the DEBCC for this program
  • Business must be within the local community with no more than 30 employees
  • Del-One FCU will confirm eligibility
  • DEBCC will vet the business and the business plan, and submit a recommendation to Del-One to include the purpose of the request and the intended use of the funds
  • Del-One’s member business lending team will render the decision and document the loan.

Delaware Black Chamber of Commerce/OSD Grant Application

The Office of Supplier Diversity (OSD) assists diverse suppliers: (minority, women, veteran, service disabled veteran, and individuals with disabilities) and Small Business Focus (SBF) program vendors in competing for the provision of commodities, services, and construction to State departments, agencies, authorities, school districts, higher education institutions and all businesses.

SCORE – Delaware

Founded in 1964, SCORE has helped more than 8.0 million small businesses live the dream of becoming viable operating entities. Delaware SCORE is dedicated to educating aspiring and existing small business entrepreneurs to realize and achieve their goals of establishing, growing and sustaining a small business. It provides free of cost confidential business mentoring in such areas as business planning, marketing strategy, financial management and competitor analysis.
